7 Month Blogging Progress Report + My New Etsy Shop!

7 Month Blogging Progress Report + My New Etsy Shop!

Expert bloggers tend to create monthly income reports to share with viewers in hopes to help them take away from their own experiences. This is something I love looking into. I find it intriguing to see other bloggers succeed and make a living wage doing what they love. This is something I hope to accomplish one day, and use every day as an opportunity to progress towards that.

However, as a beginner blogger, I prefer to call it a “Progress Report”. I may not be making the big bucks this month, but I am making more than I ever had. To me, that is progress!

Like every month there are strides and there are setbacks as I continue working towards building my blog.

If you haven’t started your blog yet but are looking into taking the plunge check out my post on Choosing SiteGround over Bluehost the self hosted guide for beginner bloggers. If you sign up for SiteGround with my link you get a free domain, free site builders, free 1-click WordPress install, 24/7 support and all for only $3.95 a month! You really can’t beat a deal like that.

Last Months Goals: Did I Accomplish Them?

This month I really focused on growing my social media following and creating more relationships with fellow bloggers out there. Without these connections there is no one that is actually seeing your content, so being real and engaging is so important.

Social Media Stats & Gains

Instagram: 457 Followers (+118)

Twitter: 1,503 Followers (+11)

Pinterest: 125 Followers and 58.8k views (+28 and +27.6k)

Facebook: 200 Likes (+6)

I have really worked on creating a community through Instagram this month. The more I follow and interact the more people are receptive and follow back. People don’t just want some bots interacting with them to get likes. So like I mentioned above, just be real and post the content that suits you and people with follow suit. My blogging journey has no skyrockets like some, but seeing progress is always a good thing.

March Top Posts

Each month there are posts that do well with others, some may be from many moons ago and others could be ones you just created. Here are the posts that are my top preformers for the month of March.

New Home Inspiration

$25 DIY Upcycled Coffee Table

Last Minute DIY Saint Patrick’s Day Tee

Tayla Tip

This month’s tip is create what you love. Your readers will notice if you are putting out content that you aren’t completely passionate about. I began creating more posts on things that interest me and that I like to read, and so far it has worked in my favor. Just be true to yourself and your interests and your blog will go far!

My New Etsy Shop

Speaking of creating what you love and being true to your interests, I opened up an Etsy shop! I really enjoy creating my own prints and moving into my new home has got my mind spinning on decor to hang up on my walls. I put both of these ideas together and created some digital prints. Currently there are 5 Spring Wall Art digital prints available! Go check them out and send me some love on which ones are your favorite!
