Happy Maker Monday all! The day where I showcase DIYs that I love or that I have recently created myself. I was initially going to do my own coaster DIY for you all…however, it was a Pinterest fail. Nevertheless, coasters are still super important. A few months ago I upcycled an old coffee table. This included sanding and then glossing over to protect the wood. I clearly did not put on a thick enough coat because there are officially drink rings everywhere. So, being the ultimate lazy person and re-doing I am just implementing a coaster rule in my house. Living my best life without breaking the bank, remember?!
There is definitely a level of difficulty to these DIY tutorials. Some are super quick coaster crafts to just make things cuter, others are stunningly gorgeous but have a little more to them. I will showcase all of my favorites with a level of difficulty attached, 1 to 5 dots (easy to hard). But I am confident you can do anything you put your mind to, haha.
Bring on the coasters!
The best things about coasters is you can honestly design them in any way you want. These ceramic coasters by Always Rooney are perfect for amateur DIY’ers like myself! All you need is basic ceramic coasters, paint, and tape, the creativity is all yours!
This geometric design is so versatile. Sugar & Cloth is at it again with beautifully, vibrant crafts that they make look so easy. You can put these coasters together for bigger objects or break them apart for single servings. Both ways look stunning.
The main reason I am giving this a higher difficulty score is there are more segments and sewing included. I forget how easily manipulated felt can be and this design makes me want to run to the craft store immediately!
These look simply difficult, but I love them! With some glue, wood, scissors and a steady hang anyone could make this happen. Lately pallets have been a huge trend in the re-purposing decor world. These mini pallet coasters are the perfect addition to the trend.
These are stunning. Another seemingly easy ceramic coaster DIY as long as you can paint really tiny lines. It is so simple and gorgeous all in one.
The great thing about cork is they are so easily manipulated into different shapes and paint designs like these cute donut coasters! Make life a little brighter with this adorable idea.
I forget that there are so many mediums that are insanely versatile. Clay is one of those mediums. With molding clay and letter stamps you can make these beautiful and minimalistic coasters.
There was a huge trend a few months ago where everything was holographic. I am not sure if that is still the case, but these holographic coasters are cute regardless!
Alcohol ink is stunning. Combine it with a hexagonal marble coaster and there is pure genius! Kara, from Kailo Chic Life, makes such vibrant DIY projects and this is just the tip of the iceberg.
Okay so this one isn’t actually a DIY, but you could totally re-create this if you were feeling ambitious enough! Cactus everything is super cute, this would be the best addition to your coffee table. If you don’t want to make this you can definitely snag it on Etsy.
Put ceramic tiles and a gold sharpie together to create the perfect placement for your champagne bottles. Super fun and festive coasters for a ladies night or even a wedding!
Add a pop of color with this colorful take on ceramic coasters. Paint, q-tips and tiles are all your need to create this fun pattern!
Grab the spray paint! These copper coasters are super simple and gorgeous.
Whatever style or supplies you want to go with there is a way to create the perfect coasters. Protect your surfaces and make your beverages a little extra special with one of these DIY ideas!
