Infused Water for Clear Skin
- Watermelon Detox Water
- Not only is watermelon super hydrating but it is also packed with potassium and vitamins A, B and C. According to Alluring Soul, watermelon also has lycopene which is an antioxidant that protects our skin from radical damages. With the combination of lycopene and natural water, it is the perfect fruit to encourage healthy skin. Add watermelon, lime and mint to a pitcher of water for a rejuvenating beverage.
2. Cucumber Ginger Mint Water
Like watermelon, cucumbers are H20 heavy. Mixing cucumber with mint and ginger creates the ultimate skin clearing powerhouse. Mint contains salicylic acid which treats and prevents acne while ginger has soothing and anti-aging properties.
Infused Water for Detox
Detox is defined by abstaining from or ridding the body of toxic or unhealthy substances. Therefore, creating detoxifying flavored combinations is important to cleanse your body back to optimal health. With this being said, here are a few variations I found interesting.
3. Lemon Water
Lemon water is one of the most common detox waters out there. Everyone has heard that there is something beneficial about drinking water with lemon. However, do we even know why? Lemons are not only hydrating but filled with vitamin C. The lemons structure is similar to digestive juices found in the stomach which helps keep food moving throughout our digestive systems. This structure helps aid your digestion which then detoxifies your body.
Infused Water for Treatment
4. Pineapple Turmeric Water
Sometimes your body just isn’t feeling up to par. But with this recipe from Paleo Hacks you can start healing your body naturally in on time. Not only is turmeric important for boosting the immune system, it also assists in inflammation. Pineapple doesn’t just add a delicious and sweet taste to the water. It also contains an enzyme called bromelain, which is great for reducing inflammation that causes pain within the body. So next time you are feeling a little sore, grab yourself a glass of this!
5. Strawberry Basil
Another winner from Paleo Hacks is the strawberry basil infused water. Strawberries are filled with antioxidants that helps fight off potentially damaging oxidizing agents. And basil has properties that help fight off coughs and other mucus-related symptoms. According to the article this combination is incredibly flavorful. Though I never considered drinking basil, if it can help me feel better I will try it!
6. Raspberry Rosemary
Both raspberries and rosemary are beneficial to muscle recovery. Which means if you are into heavy workouts this should be your go-to beverage.
Metabolism Boosting Water
Our metabolisms help maintain life. They also fluctuate our weight if not operating properly. As I get older I realize how important it is to pay attention to what is going on in my body and ways to promote my body to remain healthy.
7. Grapefruit Jalapeno Water
Let’s spice things up! According to Shape both grapefruit and hot peppers are great fat-burning foods that help boost your metabolism. Grapefruit has properties that help keep your blood sugar in check which improved calorie burn. And hot peppers such as jalapenos quite literally helps torch those calories as well. Combine the two and burn, baby, burn!
Infused Waters Just Because
And then sometimes you just want infused water because it tastes good. The added health benefits are definitely a bonus but as a water lover sometimes you just want to mix things up a little bit and add a little flavor for fun.
8. Orange Kiwi Water
I am a huge fan of orange flavored things, plus I could use the vitamin C. Not to mention kiwi has some added fiber that could definitely do the body good.
9. Peach Vanilla Water
Lean Jumpstart has really amped up the whole detox water spectrum. Though I am not the biggest fan of peach but I do enjoy vanilla and it is a smart way to add a little sweetness to your drink. Plus, vanilla beans have mood boosting properties which is pretty awesome.
